Dhoni in Bollywood – Is it true?
Dhoni and his wife were seen around at a film screening event arranged by John Abraham for his movie “Desi Boyz”. Many rumors were around about the Indian cricket team captain Dhoni that he is ready for entering Bollywood very soon.
The Indian Cricket team’s captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni had of course revealed that he’s going to act in a Bollywood film on request of his very close friend John Abraham. They were both very close friends for almost seven years now. Dhoni had no interest in acting but his friend, the actor – filmmaker John Abraham has been convincing Dhoni for the same. Finally Dhoni has agreed to act in two of John’s movies about which John has not shared any of his views so far. “Anything for John!” says Dhoni from which it is clear that we’ll be able to see Dhoni onscreen very soon in Bollywood. Dhoni adds on to say that he would also act in John’s movies if he requests him to act. So, let’s wait for it guys!
Sources close to John have confirmed that Dhoni is sure to be seen in two of John’s films. One is a film that John has planned with a leading producer and the other film is the one directed by David Dhawan. The director is in conversation with Dhoni for the shoot of the climax sequence of his movie which could be shot in just a 15 days’ time. Moreover some sources say that Dhoni doesn’t wish to be just Dhoni in his films but a friend or close one of the heroes. Dhoni has also been invited for the promotional event of the film “Kya Yahi Sach Hai” directed by Y P Singh. In spite of his busy schedule, he agreed to participate in the event when he got a call from Y P Singh’s wife Abha Singh who is the producer of the film also. The director says that Dhoni is a self made man and a youth icon. He adds on to say, ‘Who better than Dhoni to do the honors?”.
So far, Bollywood has seen a handful of cricketers in various movies. The cricketers like Sandeep Patil, Ajay Jadeja and Salil Ankola have all made their appearance in various films. Let’s wait for our India Cricket Team captain Dhoni too very soon on screen in Bollywood!
